About the Album

Basie Rocks! features the legendary Count Basie Orchestra, directed and co-produced by Scotty Barnhart. The album was produced by Steve Jordan, the Grammy-winning musician, producer, and current drummer for The Rolling Stones.

The project also includes creative direction from Charles Calello, known in the music world as “The Hitman.” His contributions and direction helped shape the album’s powerful sound.

A Project Close to Our Hearts

This album means a lot to everyone here at Power Station. Deborah is like family, and this project connects deeply to our studio’s history.

The first tracking sessions took place at the original Power Station Studios in New York City. (Known now as Power Station@BerkleeNYC.)

Vocals, overdubs, and mixing were then completed right here at our Power Station Studios Pompano Beach, Florida location.

It was a true blend of heritage, artistry, and teamwork.

Thankful for the Recognition

We are proud to be part of such an inspiring project. To all Grammy voting members, we ask for your support to help turn this nomination into a Grammy win!
